PAT Testing

We offer PAT tests, which stands for “Portable Appliance Testing”. This is the process of testing all appliances that have a plug. We use both visual checks and technical tests, which covers both physical damage and deterioration, and hidden problems within your appliances. Our wide range of tests cover all aspects of business, so why not contact us today to organise a visit.

EICRs

It is important to get the condition of your fixed electrical installation checked over to ensure all the electrical components, connections, and wiring are in good condition to prevent danger. Insurers usually require an in date satisfactory electrical installation condition report (EICR) as a condition of cover. Not having a current satisfactory condition report in place could invalidate your insurance policy. Having a satisfactory condition report also gives peace of mind that your electrical installation is in a safe condition, reducing the risk of electric shock and electrical fires.

Here at Lewis Electrical, we can facilitate EICRs for all types of electrical installations and properties. An EICR is very beneficial, as it is a great way to check that your electrical installation is safe and working as intended. EICRs are tests that evaluate the health and condition of your electrical installation. They are a legal requirement for businesses and landlords to have in place, and vitally important to protect your property, staff and tenants. Landlords are now required to provide a new EICR for new tenants before their tenancy starts. Commercial and tenanted properties should be tested and inspected at a minimum of 5 years or change of tenancy.
